He should have known better than to risk getting into court on a serious offense. Regardless of what anyone thinks, that jury didn’t find him guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping, they found him guilty of the murder of two people.
He should have known damn well he’d never get a fair trial. He was simply too high profile and Americans all want to get revenge on him.

Not all Americans want revenge. Just the ones that think he got off from the murder. There are lots of people who think he didn’t do the murders and was set up.
That’s right, r.k., there are lots of people who think he didn’t “do the murders” stupidity runs rampant in America. Elvis “set him up”.
There are also a lot of people who follow a “religion” that the creator of said system admitted was just created to make money. Just cuz lots of people do something doesn’t mean they are right. I could probably make something up and get a lot of people to believe it. that just means a lot of people are to stupid to breed.
Not as many as used to be. His trial happened soon after the L.A. riots and the African-American community was still convinced the L.A. cops were out to get them–that’s what colored public opinion about the trial, if you’ll excuse my unintentional pun. Passions were still riding high and nobody was really thinking it through.
But in the years since they’ve been watching how he’s behaved, some of the things he’s said and even that book he came out with a couple of years ago. Black people are not stupid, just hurt by history. He’s had less and less support from them since the murder trial, and now this.
I’ll be very surprised if you don’t have to search hard for people who still think he was innocent.
