No kidding. When will someone put a stop to the adoption nonsense? Won’t the adoption agencies say enough is enough the next time they try to adopt? It’s madness. They only do it for the publicity.
My husband thinks Brad Pitt is an idiot for leaving Jen in the first place.
You know, women can’t win. If we don’t adopt, we’re selfish for letting kids starve, and on top of that we’re adding to overpopulation if we have our own. If we do adopt, we’re crazy. WTF. The kids need homes, or so goes the party line.
I actually don’t like adoption the way it’s practiced most of the time. If a kid’s still got family, don’t take him away from his family, as long as they wouldn’t do permanent damage to him or kill him. If a family’s poor, help the whole family, don’t take their kids. But if it’s established that a child needs a home then why wouldn’t someone help them, and what’s wrong with doing several adoptions for that matter? They’d sit in foster care otherwise. Is that better?
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I would rather see rich people adopt kids who need homes than people producing twelve or thirteen and dressing them like clones. I love how she has pen all over her hands, I do that all the time. OMG, I am just like Angelina! snort.

You’re both idiots. Who cares how many children they choose to have as long as they can support them? These are children that need homes and there are too many children in the system. And quite frankly you have no idea what went on between him and Jen, so I don’t think you or your husband has any place to comment on who he should be with. He’s married to Angelina, get over it.

This caption made me laugh. But I am genuinely surprised at all the negative comments. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have given millions of dollars to charities and uncounted days of their lives to help people around the globe, including the almost forgotten victims of Hurricane Katrina. Adopting for publicity? They don’t have to DO anything for publicity. They are hounded by the media just for being “Brangelina”. They’ve adopted 3 children & have 3 biological children. They can certainly afford to raise those 6 and another 6 more if they choose. “Psychotic”? “Insane”? I respectfully disagree.
Yep. I don’t think I could handle that many kids in that short a span of time, but then again they have way more resources than I do, and also, it’s not like they are a couple of 19-year-olds with no life experience and all the time in the world. Brad Pitt is in his 40s, I believe, and she is in her 30s. There is nothing inherently wrong with having a large family, as long as you are caring for all the children appropriately, and nothing suggests that they aren’t. It’s not the norm, but I think the world can handle the occasional couple who has more than 2.3 children, famous or not.

OK, OK, I’ll give you the fact that they give a lot to charity…of course it is all in other countries, but that would be another argument entirely. However, just because they have money does not make them great people. It doesn’t change the fact that she is a skanky home wrecker who took advantage of a new marraige, or the fact that he is a shallow skirt chaser. What comes around goes around, and Angie baby will get hers in the end.

In a … profession? world? zone? where the average marriage has the half-life of a used Kleenex, probably, but I don’t know. That’s not my world. All I’m saying is it is entirely possible that regardless of their FEELINGS, they didn’t actually DO anything until the divorce was a done deal. That doesn’t mean it’s okay to view marriages as disposable—I don’t think it is—just that we don’t know what happened behind the scenes, period. Plus, actually it’s none of our business. Plus, actually why do we care? Why DO I care? I don’t, now that I think about it. Ah, that was liberating.
I care because in any other home where proles were adopting, (as opposed to Hollywood Royalty,) a mother who has talked openly about feelings of suicide and appeared naked on film worldwide (oh, if it’s done on your webcam and put on the internet it’s bad bad bad vs in front of a live crew on a Hollywood sound stage where it’s good good good,) would be flat out DENIED the right to foster or adopt. I know I wouldn’t even want my kids going to school with her kids.
