He’s barely a Magician. More of a Rock star wannabe jackass. He has a show called “Mindfreak”. I think it’s on the Discovery channel. And it’s boring as shit.

Too bad Criss Angel was around and did all of David Blaine’s tricks years before he even thought of them.
But Criss Angel’s music is pretty good.. his older stuff, before he became a douche and got famous. Used to go to his shows in NY all the time.
A proper illusionist is someone who will do it in front of a live audience, no camera tricks. Criss Angel is all camera tricks and bribed “random people off the street”. There’s no “magic” in clever editing.
That’s the thing, his tricks that aren’t just totally bullshit editing are usually really lame anyway. It’s a real shame.
He may be utterly talentless, but he’s still better than David Fucking Blaine.

As much as I respect everyone’s opinion I must raise a question to all of you out there who so blatantly choose to bash Criss Angel… how many of you can make as much money as him on a seemingly “talentless” career? It would seem that the only reason you have for bashing Criss Angel is you are overly jealous of his success and therefore choose to try and better yourself by trying to drag him down. But just remember this…for all of you out there that hates him, there are at least 100 more people who love him…which is probably more friends than you will ever have in a life time. So next time you feel like dragging someone down because they have what you so enviously cherish, remember this: “people ruled by jealousy are of tiny intellect indeed.”
I have one more thing to say: “IF YOU DON’T LIKE CRISS ANGEL THEN DON’T WATCH HIS SHOWS!!!!!” is this such a difficult concept to understand?

All magic is fake (or illusion if you prefer). Some of his tricks are impressive, some are lame-he’s made a hell of a living off it. Of course he takes himself seriously, he’s making some serious dough.
I don’t like his fake ‘random’ people or his play-acting to get to a trick. But I do like that he acknowledges its trickery and makes a point to ridicule paranormal ‘magic’ that takes advantage of ppl-tarot, communing w/the dead.
And he is f**ing HOT.

Criss is a royal douche bag i would like to clarify. He does not give credit where it’s do. He had four magicians designing his tricks; Banachek, the Great Tomsoni, and two others. Tomsoni is one of the oldest and best magicians around, Banachek is also astounding. All of them created his illusions but Criss never gave them their credit. not to mention that he took tricks created by other magicians and didn’t give them credit. In Criss’s book he claims he did everything by himself which is bs. Furthermore the four magicians who created his illusions left last year, which is why if you see his shows now its very very poorly done. He got a live show in Vegas that closed opening night.
I’m not even going to read all the bashing comments.

Thought it was worth saying that the likes of David Blaine and Chris Angel as an illusionist are just laughable – they depend too heavily of camera tricks and stooges. For real masters of magic and illusion, look towards people like Derren Brown or Penn & Teller
