Well, they do when they’re trying to prove to everybody they’re fit to lead England. She was pretty much the Queen of Overcompensation. Google “Elizabeth’s pocket pistol” to see a cannon she yoosta use to shoot at France. From England. Not joking.

You might want to take into consideration that throne probably belonged to her predecessor who was male.
Actually, Elizabeth’s predecessor was Mary. Whom I believe may have been also a woman, but I may be mistaken.
Mary was the overcompensator. She had a serious vendetta against all protestants because of her mothers disenthronement due to Anne Boleyn- Elizabeths mother. Mary executed hundred of innocent people. She was determined to rid England of anyone who was not a devout Catholic and lost her sanity. She became paranoid and insane shutting herself up in the palace for months in the dark.
When Elizabeth was crowned she brought England back to the people and restored faith and security in her country from foreign male leaders hoping to manipulate the monarchy by seducing Elizabeth.
ALL the Tudors overcompensated, because they knew they had no right to the throne and no royal blood except what they got from Henry Tudor marrying the daughter of Edward IV.
Did you know they were the first rulers to demand to be addressed as “Your Highness” and “Your Majesty”? All the Plantagenet monarchs were fine with “Your Grace”- it’s only the usurpers who had to make a huge deal of themselves.
Mary wasn’t Queen for very long really, and Henry VIII was before her… and being that he divorced a wife that England adored to marry a whore, … and got relatively fat… I think the throne was meant to fit him…
Actually, I think you’ll find the rather interesting work “Anne Boelyn” By Joanna Denny, a point to disprove your theory of Anne Boelyn as a whore. Anne actually resisted Henry VII for seven years. She withdrew from court, and refused to engage in sexual relations with him because of her strong religious beliefs.
She was highly intelligent and literate, though much of her work was destroyed in the witch hunt Henry began when he decided she was too old to give him a son, when actually he was near to impotent.

It might not have been her *or* Mary overcompensating. I bet that throne was around for a while before Liz sat on it. If nothing else, her father may have been to blame. I mean, he *did* go through half a dozen wives or so.
