  1. Sofia says:

    WTF is that?

  2. chris says:

SOME FUNNY STUFF BUT PROBABLY THE MOST DISTURBINGLY AWFUL MOVIE I EVER WATCHED.

  3. per says:

I don’t get this caption :S What country is it talking about, and in what way has “culture” been undermined?

    • Nicholas says:

Borat makes fun of Kazakhstan, and is also making fun of the stereotypes that are sometimes used when referring to Kazakhstan.

      • ydobon says:

I’d rather say he makes fun about Americans, their way to accept prejudices and the wrong way political correctness is leading when they ignore his racist statements.

        • per says:

yeah, my point is that he makes just as much fun of americans as of kazakhstanians. I have seen the movie and all the borat-clips from the ali G show and I think he is great! I guess my main point was that it is a stupid caption.

        • Matt says:

the whole point is that hes making fun of the typical americans’ ignorance, so i think this lol is inaccurate since the joke is on those americans, not kazakhstan

      • elliott says:

the movie, if i know much at all about that sascha chap, was for two reasons. for the lols, and to use irony in highlighting how ignorant of other cultures americans are (how many yanks know anything about the format of government in thailand? it’s a monarchy, but alot of people would just call it a family owned dictatorship.)

  4. Wormulon says:

Shouldn’t that read “Undermining TWO Whole Nations Cultures”

considering America came off pretty bad in that whole film

    • Falck says:

What are you talking about? The rest of the world LOVED America in that film xD

    • purpletabby says:

Yeah, I thought the caption was a reference to the US at first. The film showed how ignorant Americans can be about other cultures and how quick some of us can be to accept bizarre behavior as “charming” just because it comes from a different culture. It also pointed out how attached we are to some of our own bizarreness.

      • BEn says:

i get where u would get the idea about Americans being ignorant of other cultures but im pretty sure that the people making the movie honestly didnt give a flying crap about how accurate it was

  5. Dan says:

That movie was hysterical. Him as Ali G is pretty funny too. This guy is brilliant.

  6. Selkhit says:

Say what you will, but Borat was really funny. Anyone who takes Sacha Baron Cohen seriously is just…well, an idiot.

  7. Ikki says:

You should take him serious… He is akshully showing the flaws of all of us. The caption clearly mentions to point at american culture (if it has any) and not the kazachstan culture (which is in reality for parts even worse than depicted in Borats movie)

    • g0nz0 says:

Keep in mind, this character was developed in the UK and used there. I don’t know that he’s targeting Americans with the character, or western culture as a whole.

    • фдуч_шяь says:

I don’t know about “kazachstan” but I lived in Kazakhstan for 23 years. Believe me, in parts, Kazakh culture is way better than the on in the US. Cohen has never even been there, and judging by your comment, neither were you.

      • Wormulon says:

        Look, guy.

        1) No One should take Sacha Baron seriuosly. I doubt he even knows that serious exists.

        2) The caption was most definately aimed at Kazakhstan culture. The very diligent poster was showing obvious distate at the way Sacha treated
        Kazakhstan.

        3) In every country, parts of the culture are WAAY better than parts of another culture of ANY country. That’s life. That’s what makes us all great.

        WOO

      • per says:

Dude, have you actually seen the movie? I will explain a typical scene to you:

Borat tells a stiff upper lip american about how his brother is kept in a cage and his sister is showing her pussy for him.

1.The pun of a scene like this is obviously how the stiff upper lip american responds to Borats comment.

2.Anyone mildly educated understands that this is not an accurate description of everyday life in Kazakhstan, and that is part of the point.

The movie is obviously making fun of prejudice and tolerance in the western world (the movie takes place in the US but it could just aswell take place anywhere in western europe.).

  8. Cecona says:

Sacha is making a new movie like Borat. I believe he is playing a gay guy named Bruno from europe or something like that. He was in my town awhile ago doing a scene for the movie. He mad so many people mad.

  9. lowly grunt says:

I watched the entire movie from behind my hands. I was grossed out, astonished, and laughed out loud more than once and sometimes against my will. I am still surprised he made it out of that rodeo alive.

  10. Alyssa says:

He was beast in Sweeney Todd :)

  11. Aaron Hong says:

Anyone who hates Borat probably fell for it early on. :) Funny thing, a while back Ali G didn’t go over all that well, then people heard that it’s really a regular guy under all that and went ‘ohhhh… wow, he’s really good at it y’know’. How do you top frenching Will Ferrel?

  12. Read my blog says:

Okay, now for that superlong comment nobody reads:

    1. If you’re American, and you don’t think that the movie “Borat” was mocking Americans, then the jokes on you. Furthermore, if you don’t think this caption is alluding to that fact, you are the joke. I am an American, and I often laugh at myself. So there.

    2. The movie was freaking genius. I’ve been saying for the past couple of years that humor is morphing again. In the recent past, “funny” became increasingly associated and dependent upon “crude”. Think Benny Hill, Eddie Murphy, and Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay. Nowadays, that aspect is still present but the awkward vibe is creeping in more and more. Being dirty is no longer enough, now it helps if it’s uncomfortable as well. Think of the full-frontal male nudity in Walk Hard and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Think of faux-mosexual kisses on Saturday Night Live. Think of Sarah Silverman sleeping with God. Think Borat having a naked fight with a genetic deadend of a man and using a rubber fisting dildo to bludgeon him.

    3. This whole thing would be a whole lot more awesome if I could wring a third point from it and wrap it up in a nice little blow. So there.

That is all. My blog is actually shorter than this.

  13. Ana says:

Is it just me, or his teeth couldn’t be more yellow?

  14. chimmeychango says:

    whats that say about you?

  15. pih says:

It’s a two edged sword. But the sword was swinged towards America, not Kazakhstan.

  16. Emma says:

    Mankini ! lmao

  17. Caroline says:

    Very nice!

  18. Gowan says:

sooo, i bet you want him to make a movie about himself?

  19. alex says:

I dont like america, does that make me a typical british gent?
    pretty much actually

    • Jauquin says:

If only people that don’t like America (You do mean the U.S., correct?) would just not come here. And if the ones already here would just leave. It would be great. We could get back to being ruled by the Constitution that was written to guide the country (After we kicked [not-so]Great Britain’s ass in a really bitchen war), without a bunch of euro-pussy idiots trying to drag us into socialism.
