Reeves is a good actor and all, but as Klaatu? I’m still not over that. The very concept of Keeanu Reeves as Klaatu is just so wrong.
What’s funny is that I guess it’s karma. I had a friend, Graham, who was upset that Keeanu Reeves got cast as Constantine. Since I’m not a fan of comic books, I didn’t think much about it. But I do like classic sci-fi and The Day the Earth Stood Still is one of best made in that era. So now I’m the one whose going “Keeanu f**king Reeves as Klaatu?!” when I laughed at “Keeanu f**king Reeves as Constantine?!”

Tom Cruise was born a stupid f*cked-up freak, and he’ll be one ’til the day he dies and many generations thereafter.

You obviously have not seen many of his movies, he has been different in every one I have seen, and I have seen most of them! How do you compare say, his part as Marlon in I Love You To Death with his part as Neo in the Matrix?

Ah, I gotta say that Tom Cruise wasn’t much a weirdo before he got indoctrinated by Scientologists… he was just an illiterate, egomaniac, jock actor. Keanu Reeves just displays the reverse of all these character flaws and is lumped into the same catagory?
I remember when he played Romeo at Stratford, ON, someone said, “He remembered all his lines and looks good in tights. What more can you expect?”
I like Tom Cruise.
I’m not a Keanu Reeves fan (man has less acting ability than my coffee cup), but he doesn’t even come close to being weird, let alone as weird as Tom Cruise.
