Marilyn Monroe had a 24 inch waist and was the equivalent of a size 2 or 4 in her starlet days. The myth of her being a “size 12″ (which, in vintage sizes, was tiny back then) contributes to the misguided belief that she was somehow “plus sized”, even though, if you looked at a picture of her, you would never consider her heavier than any other actress, today . . . thinner, most likely, than even Scarlett Johansson.
I think the myth originated because her figure would definitely not be appreciated these days. Someone with curvy bottoms and boobs like hers is typically thought of as “fat” in fashion circles.

In the 60’s she denounced all her modeling and converted to Christianity. If anyone *had* topped her, she probably would have condemned them to hell.
I enjoy her pictures as much as anyone else, but the fact that she said she wish she had never done any of it puts a damper on it for me.
She did recant that later, and in fact repaired her friendship with Hugh Hefner and was a guest at the mansion several times in the last few years. She had a difficult time for awhile but she got better.

a) We only have a finite amount of time and energy on this earth. I don’t know you, but I’d be willing to guess that you have better ways to spend yours than trying to please anybody who thinks you’re a “loser” and “garbage”;

Although honestly I was surprised when I saw in the news that she had died, I thought she died long ago.
She stayed offcamera because she wanted everyone to remember her how she was. I’m cool with that, although I’m sure she was a lovely old lady too.

Ladies, ladies, calm down, please. I’m sure this was just meant as a tribute to someone who recently passed away, not a judgment on anyone’s value as a human being. Let’s be honest for a moment, judging the opposite sex on their physical appearance isn’t a uniquely male thing.
