OMG you’re right, FEMALE drivers *runs for the hills*. I mean, we’re responsible for a whole 3% of road traffic accidents whilst male drivers are only responsible for a tiny 97%, I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY LET US ON THE ROAD! We’re probably too busy thinking of lipstick and hairstyles to even know what a stop sign looks like!!! *shivers*
Please use real statistics if trying to prove a point. Exaggerating makes you look like an idiot.
Alright JKT it’s 18% and 82% not 3% and 97% (in this link to REAL statistics I was able to find), but many of the drivers in this one were under 30 so I think it just adds to my point.

Sorry,it’s actually 85% by men and 15% for women, the 18 and 82 percentages were for sleep related accedents as opposed to accidents in safe driving conditions. Wouldn’t want to look like an idiot, would I JKT? Better get all my facts and figures straight.
Does statistics reflect everything? I think not, I’ve seen a lot of
female drivers making the most bizzare and stupid accidents,
and not even accidents. For example, making a huge congestion
just because she decided to stop and answer her cell-phone, therefore
stopping and turning on the crash lights (forgot how they are called in
english) in THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. Another one somehow managed
to rip off half of the protective plastic underneath the car’s exaust
system on a sinkhole, I’m still puzzled how on earth she managed to do
that. Making risks and getting into accidents is one thing, doing
absolutely stupid and bizzare things is another. Anyway, I wish
Miley the best of luck in driving… not. I wonder if she had to buy
an equal number of litres of vodka as the last number on the serial
of her driver’s licence *evil grin*

Really. I’m a street racer *closed roads, with police and city permission, of course* and I’ve seen so many teen girls showing off in thier boyfriends car, trying to look cute/sexy/smart and then break something. Oooh, the men do it too. But it’s pretty bad when you know that if she’s not a regular, we’re putting bets on what will be destroyed in a nuclear fallout of plastic Honda parts. And someone’s always winning. I’m a female, and the driver that *somehow* managed to get sideways while racing next to me and T-bone my car was….a 17 yr old GIRL. No one wants to line up next to the new girls. If they live to see the finish line *it goes straight, hon, don’t hurt yourself*, then we ask for numbers lol
oh, and the driver that crossed the line and killed my brother who was riding to work with her was a 16 yr old girl with her intermediate license. She ‘didn’t know how to shift’, yet was driving on city roads. I won’t make it any more obvious, though.
That doesn’t mean every girl is like that!

she got…get this….community service!!!! She had to go to area schools and give speeches in driver’s ed classes about not showing off to your friends while driving, the real dangers, etc. She cried her way out of it, though, and got into another accident four months later on I-5, driving the wrong way down an exit.

There are so many reasons that I think your story is b.s. My first car wreck, I was hit by a guy. My ex’s two car wrecks, hit by guys. Just because the incidents that happened to YOU were females, it doesn’t mean you’re right.
Try this: “Really. I’m a street racer *closed roads, with police and city permission, of course*” …are you kidding me? One, wtf does that have to do with anything? && two, street racing is ILLEGAL. I highly doubt a police officer is gonna be like “Oh, sure! We’re gonna close off this road for ya, kthx4askin!” Which means, you probably drag race on a legal drag strip. && around HERE, when we see a Honda on the strip, doesn’t matter who’s driving it, we’re putting bets on what’s gonna break. That’s just common knowlege with the Honda Racer boys.
&& if she “didn’t know how to shift”, she probably couldn’t actually launch the car, babe. Sorry, but taking off and stopping are harder than shifting, because even if you forget the clutch, I’ve seen the dumbest boys slam it (grinding) into gear.

Then how about you ride with a 16 year old with a brand new driver’s license. Been there, done that. For awhile, it’s a white-knuckle experience. It helps if you don’t allow your teen to take the road test until YOU think he or she is ready.
THANK YOU! I had a year of training in all kinds of weather before my dad would let me take my test, just to turn around and watch his eldest son get killed by his 16 yr old dipstick co-worker whose parents had let her drive a stick, and only trained her on an automatic. No good deed goes unpunished.
You don’t have separate license types in your country?
Nope.
Depends on the state. In New York, 16 year olds can only drive during certain hours of the day, can only have so many passengers, and all kinds of other restrictions that make it not even worth the trouble and expense. Besides, only seniors could get on-campus parking permits at our high school. My son and most of his friends waited until 17, took school-sponsored driver’s ed, and got unrestricted licenses from day one.
