For publicity and because they think it’s cute with the camera there. Of course they don’t notice the people behind them who actually need to shop there so they can feed their families.

All I know about The Hills is that the ads I see for it say “How can nothing be so interesting?”

me too! the hills is all about nothing but at least you get the condensed version and get a laugh out of it from the soup haha
the only time a show about nothing was good was seinfeld. that was the premise: a show about nothing. and to date its one of the best sitcoms.

Is this an American version of “Harry Hill’s Tv Burp”, which takes the mickey out of all our main soap operas and so-called “reality Tv” shows, in one handy 30 minute package?
I only know of The Hills from a Robot Chicken parody skit….

Did something happen to natural selection?
Natural selection in the traditional sense only works on populations where not all individuals will survive long enough to breed.
In our modern society, at least in the rich parts of the world, almost everyone can survive, find a mate, have sex and produce viable offspring. We don’t starve to death if we’re lazy and stupid, we aren’t eaten by lions if we’re slow and so on. So there’s no selection pressure.
thank you for explaining to about 80% of posters who had no idea what natural selection was, and instead decided to comment on how lame the hills is.

In one of the images on OMG.com they’re at the cash register and a woman is standing behind them looking about as miserable as anyone can. The fact that they brought a camera crew to a 99 cent store to poke fun of it makes me want to kick them in their “bits and pieces.” People like this shouldn’t be allowed publicity….or oxygen.
