I thought this was an original joke, and found it humorous. Right up until the first “This is a blatant rip-off of a cartoon spoofing the movie!” post. I still think it’s clever, but less so now that I know it wasn’t the poster’s idea, but “borrowed” from elsewhere.
Of coure, the cartoon was just that – a cartoon. The funny in this case comes from using the actual screen-cap from the movie.

Well of course it was taken from Family Guy. I wasn’t trying to be original. My attempt at applying the same humor that they do (putting a reverse spin on something like this) was what I found funny.
A “reverse Spin” you say? Wow, that really puts it into perspective. So if I ever decide to plagiarize someone else’s work, and I get caught, all I have to say is that I was “putting a reverse spin” on their work, as opposed to “a lame attempt at self gratification, while contributing nothing original, and expending zero effort.” Remind me how this made the front page?

Actually I prefer the version they did in Lego Star Wars II, where Leia tries to put the data disc into R2D2 who refuses. Leia eventually gets fed up and then flips R2D2’s top up and throws it in.
