wow, if you thought the 60’s tv show was anything but silly and campy I think it’s obvious you’ve never watched it. This dialog is pretty close to what they had Robin sayin all the time.
I’m pretty sure the caption indicates that the poster DID watch the Batman series. What’s the matter, all that homoerotic imagery make you feel guilty? Come out of the closet, you’ll feel loads better.
If he had watched the series, Robin would be saying something like “Holy Chesticles, Batman!” and not “Jimminy Jillikers” which is Fallout Boy’s catch phrase from the Simpsons.
I doubt the substitution of Jimminy Jillikers for Holy insert exclamation here accounts for the level of outrage in joel’s post.
Nothing accounts for that level of outrage.
But I don’t think this lol is very good for the reason I stated.

Yeah, it would have been more like willikers. And yes the original series was campy and silly. But it was a classic, I mean come on, Adam West as Batman with man boobs? He was the very definition of the every man’s hero (other than being Bruce Wayne and being looooooooaded). And the villains were all awesome, how could you not like Eartha Kitt as Catwoman? Hot and she can sing to boot. MeeeYOW baby
