Wow. That’s funny, and tasteful at the same time. Well done. Big thumbs up.

  2. J says:

Agreed, this was not done badly.

    • Am I missing a tooth? says:

It’s kinds amazing, but there really is something “Billy mays-ie” about the having a fourth death.

Though, I’m still waiting for someone to make the joke about the airlines using oxi-clean to clean up the blood stain.

      (Head trama joke)

  3. jstagurl says:

I chuckled and AWW’d at the same time. Me thinks US Airways is going to be sued……if they find out head trauma was the COD.

    • what says:

I just read on AOL that the autopsy revealed he had an enlarged heart and there was no sign of head trauma.

      • Kolera says:

        Figures.

      • Heart says:

A man with big heart,, literally.

        • Sunshine says:

You win the internet on this comment.

I loved Billy Mays, and he lived not too far away from where I do. This is the best lolceleb I’ve seen in a very long time, probably ever. Though, there were probably plenty of tribute vids. Did they have to pick the one with annoying cellos? But I loved his ESPN360 commercials, I’m glad it used that one in it.

*goes back to watching the Pitchmen marathon on Discovery*

  4. Somni says:

Sellin’ Oxyclean to angels now. :>

  5. Lacey says:

I didn’t know he died until like 10 minutes ago. D: Poor Billy.

  6. AC says:

I voted this one. Much better than “BooHOO RIP Goodbye you were amazing we loved you.”
Funny and tasteful as Matt said.

  7. Franz says:

Is this a joke? Nobody outside the USA knows this guy, but he gets a video?
MJ should make some t-shirts: “I was the king of pop and all I got was not-even-a-third of a picture!”

    • Lolnathan says:

Most people stopped giving a rats ass about Michael Jackson 15 years ago. Billy Mays on the other hand was someone people saw on their TVs almost every day, and he was something of an Internet meme.

    • jbug says:

Also, that Billy didn’t have a penchant for diddling little boys probably counts for something. And I agree, well done! RIP Mr. Mays!

      • Kurt says:

I find it sad that everybody condemns him of doing something on the basis that he was accused of it. You don’t know the full story. You weren’t in the courtroom. You didn’t see the evidence. You didn’t see it happen. One of the founding principles of our justice system is innocent until proven guilty, and that applies, in my opinion, to EVERYBODY! Just because someone behaves a little oddly is not justification to look at what is truly a very tragic life and laugh at it.

        • Giz Gunnar says:

He admitted to sleeping in the same bed with little boys and thought it was perfectly normal. Please accept reality, the guy had serious problems.

          • Kurt says:

Yeah, he was freaking weird. I don’t deny that for a second. But he admitted to sharing a bed, not molesting. BIG difference.

    • Jennifer says:

Errr I-was-the-SELF-PROCLAIMED-King-of-Pop and even though i liked little boys, started as a young black man, and ended as a old white woman, people still actually give a shit~ Your right..Give credit where credit is due!

      • Rae says:

You people are narrow-minded assholes. If you took some time to get the facts instead of repeating everything you hear, you would know that reason he has white skin is because of a DISEASE. Its not his fault. His skin did that on its own. Do you make fun of people who are bald because they’ve got cancer?

        • MC says:

Is there also a disease that makes you get extensive plastic surgery and molest little boys?

          • Rae says:

His plastic surgery consisted of his nose, and only one was for cosmetic reasons. The rest were medical necessity.

And there is no proof that he ever molested a child. If you remember correctly, he was acquitted of the first charge and settled on the second because he was too ill to deal with trial.

You’re an asshole. Hes gone. Dont speak ill of the dead.

            • Jen says:

You mean I have to talk nicey nice about Hitler, Stalin, etc? 1) Just because someone is legally acquitted does not mean they are innocent of the charges. Just because there wasn’t enough proof to win a court case does not mean that there was “no proof.” 2) Just because someone dies, even dies young, doesn’t mean they suddenly deserve respect. Jackson was, 20-30 years ago, a very talented performer. But something snapped in his head and he fell off the deep end and lost 90% of the talent. Sad, I suppose, in a very pathetic way. BTW, I understand he had a skin disease, but there has to be a reason he choose to go white instead of what most people would have done – dark makeup.

              • Jen says:

I apologize for ranting about Jackson in a very nice Billy Mays thread.

                • Rae says:

I never said you had to “talk nicey nice” about anyone. Not that I was speaking to you to begin with. My point is, if someone is dead, let it go. They’re gone now, they cant hurt anyone else and the only thing talking shit will do is show tastelessness.

And he didnt “choose” to go white! That is the most ignorant thing Ive ever heard. The disease is irreversible. Imagine having to wake up everyday for the rest of your life and apply full-body makeup. Nobody would want to deal with that. You cant hold it against him because he decided to embrace his disease instead of hiding it. If a woman has cancer and embraces her baldness with pretty scarves instead of covering up with fake wigs, shes viewed as strong and receives unending support. But if Michael Jackson decides to embrace his disease instead of hiding it with fake colored makeup, he is criticized beyond all belief by people who have never even seen him in person. Its not up to you what he does with his body, and you have no right to criticize him for it.

                  • McCauley Culkin says:

He was a freak everyone knows that

That diseased skin story is such a pile of crap

He had no nose left and was found in a wig

And he actually thought it was a good idea to say that a man can show no greater sign of love than sharing his bed with a minor

                    Do me a favour

Quincy Jones must be laughing all the way to the bank

                    • Rae says:

You honestly dont believe thats a real disease? Look it up. Theres a kid at the school by my house that has it. He started with white patches and now Id say about 60% of his skin is white. And he only got it a year or two ago. You’re ignorant if you honestly believe he chose to become white and made up a phony disease to cover it.

            • Pearking says:

Actully, his own lawyer said he was. guilty. You dont pay a family and the court 22 million each if your not guilty.

    • Paz says:

I’m outside the USA and i know him, so your theory FAILED.

      • lolwannabeee says:

The theory failed because you, ONE person outside the USA has heard of him?? I’m outside the USA and i aint heard of him so technically, going by your logic the theory is infact proven! Oh jeeez…why i bother..

    • SmUrF says:

dude MJ was all over tv! this is the only tribute to billy mays ive ever seen and ive seen a bunch of tributes to MJ. and plus MJ molested a kid and thats just wrong

    • someguy says:

you know i live in belgium, and i did know him.
      btw:billy mays’s de

  8. thefauxjew says:

Is it wierd that I’m actually sad he died? Also, a very worthy tribute. Loved the bits of him messing around.

    • Am I missing a tooth? says:

Yeah, I know, I gave him as much crap as the next guy, but now I miss the bastard. One of those, don’t know what ya got till you lose it sorta things… Dang.

    • Just Me says:

I miss him! Who’s going to protect us from Vince, the sham wow zombie, now? The only thing keeping him down was Billy!

    • Farris says:

It’s not at all weird. I was thoroughly addicted to the Discover Channel show “Pitchmen.” Billy Mays is a really nice guy, and it was definitely NOT his time to go.

      RIP, Billy.

  9. QuietLunatic says:

Sweet and sad. I liked Billy Mays. He wasn’t a scary pitchman, like some of them are. Reading about his head injury the day or so before his death reminds me greatly about Natasha Richardson’s fall on the bunny slope last winter, followed by massive internal brain hemorrhage and death. I’m thinking Billy’s autopsy is going to show the same thing.

    • Scott says:

I heard today that he died of a heart attack.
The energy that guy had…I’m not surprised.
I wonder if they’ll show the rest of the already filmed PITCHMEN shows.

    • zz says:

It reminded my mom of that too, so when I got a very minor concussion sailing the other day, she got super anxious.

  10. cass says:

    How thoroughly appropriate. :)

  11. Ichi says:

    **ADDITIONAL.

    missing an i there, son.

  12. nitrogamer says:

goodbye billy, you were the most awesomerz pitchman ever :(

  13. Inked_Hippie says:

tasteful and hilarious! well done. RIP Billy Mays

anyone know what’s going to happen to Pitchmen? Think they’ll replace him or just cancel the show?

  14. nitrogamer says:

i a actually crying after watching that tribute…he was my hero, and i will miss him very much.

  15. Am I missing a tooth? says:

OK, I gotta say this now, why is it in every damn Celebrity tribute video they use the same damn Thomas Newman piece?
I mean, sure the tune is so good it make me want to touch myself, but common, there’s gotta be others.

  16. rach says:

I’m gunna miss that guy…. I liked his show, Pitchmen.

  17. Criztoph says:

Living in Tampa, this kinda hit home.. sad to see one of the good guys go. Angels wings have never been so white..

  18. kahluablu says:

Very tasteful – a definite WIN! He woulda loved it! I too was more saddened by Billy’s death than Michael’s….. he truly had the spirit of life!

  19. My guess is Mays would have gotten a BIG chuckle out of this LOL – making it, perhaps, a fitting memorial all on its own.

  20. Harold F. Ensley says:

Sorry, but Billy made the choice to ignore the “Seat Belt Warning”. No liability to the Airline.

Someone needs to add to the “Free”: “only pay shipping and processing”…

At least he wasn’t as obnoxious as the “Sham-WOW” guy!

    • Jeschke says:

He did not not die because of the airline accident. And a seat belt does not prevent things from falling anyways.

  21. CommentGenerator9000 says:

    But wait, there’s more!

  22. Mina says:

May the people buried around him rest in peace

    • i_am_#1 says:

Give him a break, he’s dead. You know he was someone’s child…I admit that I turned the volume down a bit on his commercials, but he was doing his job and he did it well.

  23. Windrow says:

this just sucks that this is how i find out hes dead… i heard that Michael Jackson died and it wasnt as big a blow as this. he didnt even look 50 to me actually i though maybe early 30s or late 20s.

  24. SirBaggsQHeadington says:

This sucks. He looked so alive popping out waving his hands back in forth in the Pitchmen intro. He will be missed.

  25. Nicolletta says:

If Billy could read that caption I think he’d be laughing his ass off.

    RIP Billy Mays

  26. Roly says:

That was great, what a fitting tribute.

  27. jamey says:

He shall be surely missed, especially from us Pittsburgh folk. I don’t care what the autopsy says, I suspect the ShamWow guy is behind this.

    • Inked_Hippie says:

he couldn’t be…he’s all sorts of locked up for punching hookers. it’s a conspiracy against pitchmen I tell you!

      • Kurt says:

Sorry hippie but no charges were pressed against the sham wow douche. That’s the latest i heard I could be mistaken though.

  28. blah says:

In really bad taste, but absolutely hilarious.

  29. taylor says:

wow, the Halo song fits perfectly! (god rest Mays’ soul)

  30. Alyssa says:

R.I.P Billy, I’ll miss having someone yelling at me to buy things.

  31. Skyshade13 says:

LOL, wish my brother was here to see this. He was always trying to talk like Billy Mays.

  32. Tesla says:

    We will miss you, Billy.

Though it’s a sad deaththe part where he’s ordering his food in the tribute is extremely funny.

  33. H says:

Hey, I think it’s 4 celebs this time, Ed, Farrah, Billy, and MJ.

  34. Jennifer says:

I agree, this saddened me more than MJ…really just a genuinely nice guy, the heart breaking 911 call from his wife made me cry. I dont know how i could ever go thru what she did…When she woke he was already gone..RIP Myself and the rest of the insomniac community will miss you!

  35. Tracy says:

I have to say, I also find Billy’s death sadder than MJ’s, personally. Billy seemed like he was probably a really decent guy, who will be greatly missed. And this picture is a win – funny while still paying tribute. RIP Billy, commercials will never be the same. :(

  36. Jennifer says:

4th, not really, We are forgetting David Caradine, as bizarre as it was, it WAS recent and seems to be the start of the first three..Caradine, McMahon, Fawcett….Then we have started again, Jackson, Mays ,—-

    • Lo says:

Fred Travalena (immensely impressive celebrity impressionist) and Gale Storm (gorgeous and fantastic actress of yesteryears) have also both died in the last 24 hours.

All of these deaths are seriously freaking me out.

  37. steve says:

isn’t that halo music in background? lol
rip billy mays…always brightened up commercials(seriously)

  38. Jody says:

Absolutely brilliant. I’m sure wherever he is, Billy is getting a chuckle. Well done.

  39. Tana says:

    How did he die?

  40. sarah says:

For anyone wondering, Pitchmen was due to show the series finale on the 1st. They’re still going to, and there’s actually an all-day marathon (on Discovery, of course) that I think is going to show the entire series in order, starting at 11 am EST or something like that. So we’ll see all the episodes that were made for the first season.

  41. He was actually from my area, McKees Rocks PA, near Pittsburgh… I didn’t know him, but I knew -of- his family…

  42. Riles says:

I ticks me off that the NBC news said one little thing on the day of his death and then was immediately back to MJ. They missed a bombing in Iraq and the death of MLK’s daughter because of MJ.

  43. Becbeq says:

    Well done…

  44. Zen says:

Seriously? Am I the only one who found the caption tasteless? I love these things, but this was just bad form.

  45. tylrlist says:

he was way more popular and cooler than MJ expescially wins he didnt molest small children

  46. Bix Nood says:

Billy Mays here! Now your probably thinking, why should I bring this guy back to life? Well I’ll tell you why! Bring me back to life in the 10 minutes, and I will throw in a free bottle of Oxiclean! That’s a 30 dollar value, absolutely free!

  47. Mac_Man says:

This was a nice tribute. Love him or hate him, Billy was an everyman and I think that’s why his death was more profound to me. I’m sure he would be ROFL at this one.

  48. Necro47 says:

    Rest in peace, Billy.

  49. Multi-Facets says:

Hee. Does this count as gallows humor?

  50. Swanton Diva says:

Man, I kinda feel like a jerk for laughing at that…death isn’t funny.
But then again, given who he is…it IS pretty funny.
    Nonetheless, R.I.P. Mr Mays.
[runs out to buy some Oxi Clean in tribute]

  51. pete says:

that’s not true… he cost me a BROKEN HEART.

    :(

    • fiendishrabbit says:

Which is the second layer of the joke.
Those Absolutely free/no additional cost items always DO come at a cost, don’t they?

  52. Loki says:

Nice one. Whats the song called anyway? Is it Halo as “steve” presumed?

    • Moby says:

It’s absolutely Halo, I noticed it myself! From Halo 3, it’s called “Ending. Tribute”. Played during the memorial scene at the end.

  53. Krull says:

Is it just me or is there a LOT of deaths this summer?

  54. Samantha says:

Ok…number one…yes, good work, well done…three cheers and all that crap…BUT…Lets see….one month….Dom Delouise, David Carridane, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, oh yea, and throw in Dave Arenson *to all the NON geeks out there…Co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons*…SO…really SIX have died in the last month people…please learn to count…I normally find these types of tributes very touching and very sweet…however, when facts are incorrect, they *expletive deleted* me off. Please…show the same respect to everyone…not just those who you find SUPER hot, or SUPER edgy or SUPER amazing…everyone who dies will be missed….Rest In Peace David Arenson, Rest In Peace Dom Delouise, Rest In Peace David Carradine, Rest In Peace Farrah Fawcet *one week from her wedding btw* Rest In Peace Michael Jackson, Rest In Peace Billy Mays…And to the rest of the celebrities, schmucks, and others who have passed this year alone (staggering total of 58 so far) Rest In Peace, I pray your souls were sheaporded to a greater place.

    • Cecona says:

      You forgot Ed McMahon.

      • Vila Restal says:

Dave Arneson is dead??? Fuck me!! I knew Gary Gygax had died I never knew that he had died too. Bloody hell. This has been a bad year for deaths so far.

    • Rae says:

Also, Ed McMahon, and Koko Taylor, which makes eight. So why dont YOU learn how to count and get all your facts before you come on here and throw a b**chfit you cocky douchebag.

      • Rae says:

Also, I just found out that Karl Malden died this morning, and if you really want to get technical, There are unconfirmed rumors flying around that MLK’s youngest daughter died recently.

Really, people like you seriously piss me off. Get over yourself.

  55. Samantha says:

BTW…I wanted to do another post so that if you want to reply to me…You can now, I’m checking the little box.

  56. Zup says:

    what’s the music?

  57. Kelly says:

can heaven return him for our money back?

  58. Mary says:

This was very well done; the pic followed by the tribute were great. I live in Tampa and saw the news as it came in over TBO.com Sunday morning and was in shock. I had just gotten to really appreciate Billy Mays and his loopy sense of humor, having recently seen him on a couple of talk shows. I didn’t even know he lived in Tampa until the morning of his death. For some reason, after the sensation and hyperbole of the previous Thursday, this hit me harder; it was a real person, not just an icon. I think Billy would enjoy and have fun with the gentle humor and the comments directed to him after his passing. I too, was in tears after this tribute… Well done. And… R.I.P. Billy <3

  59. ThisSucks says:

    This is….rather tasteless

  60. Chickensaur says:

Maybe you should get your facts straight before posting this sorta thing. Celebrities do die in threes…he wasn’t “an extra” as you put it. Billy Mays, Gale Storm and Fred Travalena all died within a day or so of each other.

  61. McBlob says:

RIP Billy, without you my insomnia will be even longer.

  62. deadinfrance says:

He was Loud as all heck!! And I will miss him……

  63. Kaeli says:

What I find saddest is that he had to leave his first wife and child often for his work. The wife never forgave him, although he’s had a relationship with his son.
With his second wife and child, he wanted to be there for them. He said it wasn’t often a man had a second chance to do something right.

The video tribute is great. Excellent work.

For those of you who don’t get why Billy’s death hits harder than the other celebrities’, my answer is that he wasn’t a celebrity. He was somebody doing his job, doing it well, and having fun doing it. He just happened to be famous at the same time. Celebrities could learn from his example.

  64. Spectra says:

Everyone is freaking out because of the numbers. FOUR celebrities died last week…we aren’t counting the whole month, JUST LAST WEEK. And for those of you bashing MJ….THE MAN IS DEAD, HAVE SOME F-cking RESPECT!

RIP Billy, you will be missed.

    • fiendishrabbit says:

Honestly, it was purely for comedic effect.
I was personally just aware of David Carradine, Fawcett, MJ, Ed McMahon and Billy Mays until I read up about it, but that’s still 5 (that is, one too many).

However, celebrities I knew about were dropping off like flies, “Celebrities die in threes” is a saying (regardless of its veracity) and “extra at no additional cost” is like the infomercial version of Ave Maria.

IMHO it was a better tribute to who Billy Mays was than the comments I saw when I designed the caption and I tried to catch who Mays was in it. Everything from Billy Mays celebrity nature as a pitchman, to his ability to make fun of himself and the extra-large&All caps text “AT NO ADDITIONAL COST” due to Billy Mays notoriously loud voice (really only surpassed by BRIAN BLESSED, the only man whose name can not be properly uttered without All Caps).

Now if this had been a CNN article or a doctorate thesis people could complain about being “not factually correct” or “derivative”.
But honestly, it’s Roflrazzi, so letting the facts get in the way of the fun is like explaining to a bunch of kids playing Cowboys&Indians about the white man oppression and the impact of cultural imperialism on native populations.

    • Chickensaur says:

      except it was 6…

      • Vila Restal says:

Ah yes!! The notorious “HELLO I’M BRIAN BLESSED” and not forgetting “GORDON’S ALIVE”. Who can forget Brian Blessed doing “Have I got News for you”. When Brian Blessed goes you’ll only need that “HI I’M BARRY SCOTT AND THIS IS CILLIT BANG” bloke to die for the entire trio of loud performers to have passed away.

        • paws4thot says:

Brian Blessed – he goes right up to 12, doesn’t he?

        • paws4thot says:

          And, of course, DIVE!!!

Speaking of which, I was once in a bar which also contained a sword, and Brian, drinking with some of his mates, and we somehow persuaded the bar staff to let him have the sword, and him to stand on the bar counter then jump off it shouting “DIVE!!” as he did so.

          Disclaimer:-
No loud actors, or bar furniture, were harmed during the making of this anecdote.

      • Rae says:

Chickensaur, shut the hell up. Hes talking about the one week only, not the entire month, so shut your mouth and let us enjoy the joke for goodness sake.

  65. kayla says:

maybe the jonas brothers will be next :D !!!!

  66. legice says:

the 1 extra for free was a comment made by sxephil 2 days ago…

    • Evernight says:

Yeah this caption was a total ripoff.

      • fiendishrabbit says:

Maybe, maybe not. One of the inspirations for this caption was a similar phrase I heard from a friend when we were chatting about the recent celebrity deathspree (we had heard that Billy Mays had died from the morning news).
If he got it from sxephil or someone else or if sxephil got it from someone or if it was just one of those things that several people come up with at the same time we’ll never know. That’s the way memes work.

  67. tony b. says:

That was a very, very well done tribute. I personally was not fond of him until i saw the t.v show “Pitchmen”. He does seem to be a nice guy and was genuinely enthusiatic about what he did. I was also impacted much harder from his death than any of the other celebs that have died this month. I still give them the respect they deserve. However, billy was one of those people that no matter what you thought of him he impacted you in some way, shape, or form. He was not necessarily changing the entire world but he did changing individual peoples’ worlds one house hold product at a time.

    R.I.P. Billy Mays.
    He will be missed.

  68. alleee says:

That was kind of ridiculous. It was kind of surreal, really–hard to take seriously.

  69. Deb says:

This is such a sweet tribute. I think he would have liked it.

  70. Heathbar says:

This celeb death has effected me more than any other. I usually don’t care much for celebrities but Billy May’s was such a nice, hilarious man.

I’m so sad to see him gone, the only way I can cope is to joke around about it, but really, I’m nothing but shocked and oh so very down.
I might have to go eat a tub of Oxi-Clean to drown my sorrows.

    R.I.P. Billy!

  71. Tesla says:

I will wash my tear stained clothes with Oxi-Clean and wipe the tears off my face with a zorbeezs.(Not a ShamWoW.)

  72. MixedZephyr says:

Billy Mays was a great guy, may he rest in peace. <3

  73. 059 says:

The music sounded more like it was from halo (never forget or heroes also fall) I could be wrong, but it sounded identical to those…

it is very sad to see all of the good ones go. it is starting to make me feel old since all of the celebs that I actually recognize are going away.

  74. Scooter says:

Billy Mays’s death was the most tragic to me not only just because he died so young but also there have been days of coverage of micheal jackson on the news and he got a short thing on the ticker the day of his death and maybe 15 minutes after the autopsy
    RIP Billy Mays

  75. William says:

Billy was a good guy, nevermind his infomercials. THis tribute was stupid though. It looked like a bunch of old commercials thrown together without any editing software. How dumb..

  76. HCC says:

    Celebrity Deaths Set 1:
David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett.
Set 2: Michael Jackson, Billy Mays, Karl Malden.

  77. Mr. Fenderson says:

Love the poster. It’d be so much better and so much funnier if you could just learn to spell. It’s ADDITIONAL… not ADDITONAL….

Proper spelling makes a great gag BETTER.

  78. Aw geez. I’m at a total loss. It was a great tribute, but I just wish Billy was still around. How about you Chell?

Yeah, Trak. I really would like to have him back.

  79. Sniper Kitteh says:

Billy Mays is the one celebrity death that really made me sad.

    R.I.P. Billy Mays

  80. Yay its a kitteh says:

He was a great man. I direct my sympathy to his family, his friend Andy Sullivan, and all of the people who knew this american legend.

  81. jhdsgjj says:

Also Mj is more popular now that hes dead than when he was alive XD

    Miss ya Billy ;(

  82. Kurt says:

I know, or at least strongly hope, that there are other people thinking what I’m about to type. And if there aren’t any…I don’t really care, but here goes.
I really don’t give a damn that Billy “Screaming Idiot” Mays is dead. I didn’t want him to die, but I thought he was annoying, and his commercials were insulting to my intelligence. The fact that he won’t be making any more stupid commercials makes me a little happier. I didn’t know Billy Mays. He did not create anything that made this world a better place or my life any easier. I have seen comments that he was a good family man. Good for him. Lots of people who are good family men die every day and don’t get an internet tribute video.
Also, back off of MJ, his death was a tragic end to a tragic life, and he did a lot of things that made a lot of people happier. He was picked on unfairly because he was highly eccentric, and condemned by the public for crimes he was acquitted of just because he was different.

    • Kroenen says:

I can respect that you think that, and I’m not going to make an ass of myself by calling you an idiot, but I disagree. He was annoying, but IMHO he was annoying in a fun way. And sure, lots of good family men die and don’t get internet tributes, but a lot of good family men aren’t famous either.

      • The Truth says:

Really??? People picked on MJ because he was eccentric. BULLSHIT!!! There’s loads of celebrities that could be considered to be eccentric and don’t get picked on – David Bellamy, Magnus Pyke, Patrick Moore (although he does get made fun of by impersonators), Brian Blessed and hundreds of others. All of them are well known and well loved. Michael Jackson was a dangerous pervert who was a threat to children. He was “picked on” not because he was eccentric but because he was to quote the phrase – mad, bad and dangerous to know.

        • Kurt says:

He was ACCUSED of being a dangerous pervert that was a threat to children. He was also ACQUITTED. He was never convicted of any crime. You weren’t in the courtroom so you don’t know all the evidence that was presented in his defense or by the prosecution. You didn’t personally see him do the things he is accused of doing, so how can you condemn him? Yeah there are many celebs considered eccentric who don’t get picked on, but lets face it, MJ was about as eccentric as they come, and that made him an easy target that people constantly attacked because it was easy.

    • Riri says:

You know, Kurt, I agree with you. Like you, I didn’t want him to die either, but he was an annoying idiot. I got so sick of his damn commercials!!! At least Michael wasn’t annoying!!

      • Kurt says:

Want to see something amusing Riri? look back a couple pages, or just search for the “Even his thumb is screaming at me” lol (which I did lol on that one). Look at the comments there. Everybody was pretty much universally saying what I said above that he was as annoying as a handful of gravel in your jockstrap. But now that he’s died, everyone is ready to nominate him for sainthood.

        • Pearking says:

You are unbeliveable. Billy Mays had somthing that MJ didnt. Its called a SOUL! Sure he was loud, but it was entertaining. Hell, Michale was 50 and he STILL didnt hit puberty. Also, he payed the Accusing family 22 million bucks, so dont say that hes not guilty. Also, MJ did NOT have a “tragic” life. He was forced into showbuissness as a KID. HE HAD A CHOICE to not continue when he grew up. So STFU and learn somthing instead of ranting on about what you dont know.

  83. 1stboybandfan says:

I think it’s sad, what a week. Why did everyone have to die in a week? Anyways, his was sad, it was just messed up. R.I.P. Billy Mays

  84. Pikachu says:

God, that’s so sad. I honestly cried while watching that, and I’ll honestly miss his commercials. Rest in peace to the best Infomercial man ever.

  85. Ozaku says:

I dont see how anyone could watch that without crying.

billy mays has more awesome in one hair than all other celebrities, video games, and the internet combined.

Rest in peace, and may ye never be replaced by the shamWOW guy… he seriously pisses me off.

    • Kurt says:

          • Pearking says:

lol. Dude, i think you have GEEK carved in your thick skull. Many celebs WERE better than him, but billy was not a celebrity. He was a pitchman. And he was nice! he had advertising talent. I bet NONE of the celebs you listed had a heart and was kind. So GTFO

          • soccernchocolate says:

YOU ARE A GEEK!!!! I HAVN’T HEARD OF ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE YOU JUST NAMED EITHER AND I DOUBT VERY MANY PEOPLE HAVE. GET A LIFE AND LISTEN TO SOME REAL CELEBRITIES!!!!!!!

    • Shelby says:

      agreed

  86. softmelon says:

That is pretty funny. I think he would have love that! This is much more heartbreaking than Michael Jackson

  87. Audie says:

I’ll miss that guy. He was really good at what he did and he took it seriously too… :*(

  94. Lolzzzzz says:

That man was the best man in the whole world. I hope he is known forever. (by the way, the halo music fit the video pretty well)

  95. jiffy says:

i can not believe how many people are like “omgz, i’m gonna miss billy mays so much!!!!” I despised him when he was alive. Seriously, am I the only person who doesn’t like being shouted at, or what???

  96. Everkins says:

  99. mike says:

I was a fan of his. He will be missed.

  100. Jomama says:

HAHA i think that is really funny if he didnt die but since he did its not hasterical but still good:)

  101. Joel says:

    I have a better caption:

They say celebrities die in three’s
    “but wait, there’s more!”
” But if you call right now”
“Billy mays will double the offer” wait for 2 more celebs to die soon :)

  102. R.I.P says:

Rest In Peace, King of Oxi-Clean.

  103. WhiteFang says:

You all realize what this means, right? Right? RIGHT??!!

    Billy shall be avenged.

We must destroy the Sham-wow guy. His name is… Vince Shlomi. We could get his hooker to help!

Read about the hooker thing at http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0327092sham1.html
If you don’t know about it.

Billy Mays was great. He deserves more attention than M.J. for the moment, only beause he was such a great guy.

And a nice thing about M.J>, even though you probably haven’t heard a good thing about him in a while, is that whatever your opinion may be about him, he was the best dancer in this sector of the uiverse.

    Wait, sector, WTF?

  104. Nick says:

I just watched the tribute on the Discovery Channel and I was in tears at the end. What Sully said at the end was so touching. I could really sense the pain that he’s going through. Billy Mays was a great man even though his commercials were annoying. I didn’t cry for MJ’s memorial (well, almost when little Paris spoke) but my shirt had a big wet spot on it after the Tribute to Billy Mays. It isn’t fair, this duo didn’t deserve to end so soon. They made me laugh.

RIP Billy Mays….Infomercials will NEVER be the same.

  105. nate says:

they stole this from texts from last night

  106. PutDeodorantOn says:

  107. grimmtimm says:

we could all learn how to treat each other from this man. watching him behind the camera made me tell everyone i want to be with how much i care for them. we could all learn how to give from this man.
