Gotta love the comment, though I do want to point out to the ROFL Razzi people that these are not the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. That was only the first couple seasons of Power Rangers, back when it was actually a decent kids show.

I actually think the “package” is a unfortunate trick of the light on the material.

The package problem is an unfortunate result of the lazy American producers using footage from the original Japanese show whenever the Rangers are in uniform, while the Yellow Ranger is a guy in the Japanese original.
Neatly summing up my problem with all forms of Power Rangers; the cr@ppy American bits, instead of just dubbing or subbing the live action Animes!

Umm… No. Power Rangers and all types of shows like that are referred as Tokusatsu type shows. Something that is live action is not and will never be anime.

and its because the yellow ranger was actually male, as was the yellow ranger in Zyuranger (the series the 1st series of power rangers was made from) hence no skirt

Because that particular series never did have a Power Rangers equivalent.

This is Kosoku Sentai Turboranger from 1989. You know, 1989.. Three years before 1992, The year Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger came out? You know, Zyuranger, the series Saban addapted into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers?
And adding more to you research fail.. They’re not all called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, That stopped in their 4th season which was called “Power Rangers Zeo”

Yeah, it’s not really the Power Rangers, but you gotta admit if Power Rangers got their start this early it’d be fairly interesting. It’d be discontinued earlier for one thing.

thats becoz the yellow ranger was a dude in this series. not all the sentai series had 2 females. sometimes they only had 1.

Actually not the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, it’s Turboranger, a Japanese counterpart from 1989… four years BEFORE MMPR was introduced to the United States.
I’d like to point our those are not the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, MMPR ended in 1995, these are power rangers “Time Force” from 2001, many, years AFTER the MMPR cast has left, grown old and moved on.
Also, yes most of the “costumed” parts of Power Rangers at all where from the orginal Japanese show, most of the American filming was shots of them not in costume, but some stuff did have to be redone with costume. However, I have no idea how this is now as that was a very long time ago…
