I’m not sure why people think this pic is shopped. It’s just hideous arms and bad lighting. A similar picture taken from the side by the same photographer doesn’t look as bad because the lighting has washed out some of the shadows (link), but you can still see the shadows in the same places. Plus you’ve got all those other pictures from numerous sources and occasions where her arms are just as hideous. Do a google images search for “Madonna’s arms.”
no, that’s what happens when you over work your body (especially your arms) with weights and cardio. she’s in her 50’s so her skin is thinner and you can see the veins and muscle easily at that age if there isn’t enough fat over the muscle…it’s kind of gross =/
I printed this picture, took it to my gym, and they confirmed what you have said – it’s a combo of too much weight/not enough reps, too much protein (or not enough carbs), and thin skin. She and I are the same age, and I look more like Michelle Obama than this (except I’m pasty white…). I work out strenuously for two hours a day, six days a week. It’s better to have less weight on the machine, and do more reps. Now I know why…

This doesn’t look anything like a real photo..it’s amateurishly altered. I’m sure she looks a little freaky sometimes but there’s no need to do this. Why is it there are 5 or 6 celebs who are constantly taunted on this site? A little originality would be good. Madonna and Amy Winehouse have probably been monstered enough here already.

Yeah, but Gweneth Paltrow isn’t 50 and she’s got enough meat on her bones to look healthy. A trainer works with the body type and goals of each individual client. Apparently Gweneth requested to look fit and toned and Madonna asked to look like a scary hag.
I dunno, there are better alternatives to being her personal trainer…such as not being her personal trainer.
