ATPase, Na+/K+ transporting, alpha 1 polypeptide, also known as ATP1A1, is a human gene.[1]
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+-ATPases. Na+/K+ -ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane. These gradients are essential for osmoregulation, for sodium-coupled transport of a variety of organic and inorganic molecules, and for electrical excitability of nerve and muscle. This enzyme is composed of two subunits, a large catalytic subunit (alpha) and a smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta). The catalytic subunit of Na+/K+ -ATPase is encoded by multiple genes. This gene encodes an alpha 1 subunit. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.[1]

If someone is stupid enough to shout out first rather than leaving a decent comment then they are always ridiculed by taking a random article of some kind. Or have you been too absorbed in yourself to notice that it happens on every single picture?
People have picked up this lame practice again? I thought it had died out for a little bit and people just started ignoring the first post. Now we have to scroll through long, useless, boring posts before being able to read the actual comments. The people who post random articles are just as eager to post them as the people who post “first.” Only it’s more obnoxious.
It happens all the time, and it’s not obnoxious. It’s the first time I ever did one actually, and I didn’t do it with eagerness either. People wouldn’t have to scroll through long pointless facts if people would stop shouting first like it somehow makes them important. Half the time you have to scroll through 5-10 posts of people trying to be first, which is far more annoying than some wiki entry. At least then the idiots might learn something besides manners.
It’s all in good fun…and who looks for ANY relevance on a website called “Icanhascheezburger”? Lighten up.

He didn’t play a vampire, he played Max Schrek, the actor who played Nosferatu. He supposedly got into the role so much that people suspected he was a vampire. Funny you say it was so much better than “Interview”, I started watching it and didn’t even finish it.

I haven’t seen it. I’ve only read the book. I read the sequel too. I’ve been told to stay away from that film since its supposedly quite dire.

the queen of the dammed movie was awful, but it really wasn’t even the sequel to the book- it was the 3rd installment of the vampire chronicles… all of the vampire chronicle book are epic.
Really? I heard the Queen of the Damned movie was supposed to be two books in one, the Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. The fact that they tried to shove both in made it really bad?
I didn’t mind The Vampire Lestat, but two things put me off it. The fact that Lestat french kisses his mother, and then Marius’s story about Egypt was just boring. Plus Louis didn’t show up til the last few chapters! I kept wanting him to show up so they could be b*tching at each other but alas no.
Lestat: Why did you saw such horrible things about me in that book? You two faced complaining b*itch!

Anne Rice isn’t really my thing, but I see Mandy’s point. Most vampire films tend to be either re-tellings of Dracula (basically a love story with some control freakery) or splatter horrors. IWAV actually did something different.
Not a bad film, but a far more intelligent vampire film is Let the Right One In (link). Creepy and sweet – very well done. Also, Ignatz is right – Shadow of the Vampire is really good.
Underworld beats it hands down.
