Is he supposed to look like Dr. Evil or was Dr. Evil supposed to look like him?
Shamlessly nicked from Wikipedia – Ernst Stavro Blofeld is a fictional character and a supervillain from the James Bond series of novels and films created by Ian Fleming and Kevin McClory. An evil genius, he is the archenemy of the British Secret Service agent James Bond and head of the global criminal organization SPECTRE with aspirations of world domination. SPECTRE deals in terrorism, revenge and extortion, most often potentially resulting in mass murder and annihilation in achieving its objectives. As head of the organization, Blofeld is commonly referred to as Number 1, a sign of authority and respect from his henchmen, and an official numerical position given to members of SPECTRE.
Blofeld appears or is heard in three novels: Thunderball, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and You Only Live Twice; and six official James Bond films: From Russia with Love (1963), Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) and Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and his final appearance is the pre-title teaser of For Your Eyes Only (1981). He also appears in Never Say Never Again, the 1983 remake of Thunderball, which makes him the most persistent of James Bond’s enemies.
In the films, Blofeld almost always appears with a white Persian cat. It was also briefly a convention of the Bond films not to show Blofeld’s face: only a closeup of him stroking his cat. This convention was later broken in You Only Live Twice and subsequent films.
Many of Blofeld’s characteristics have become clichés of supervillains in popular fiction, representing the stock character of the evil genius. In many versions, even the stroking of his white cat has been retained as a parodistic allusion to Blofeld’s character.
The first Austin Powers film was released in 1997.
Dr. Evil is supposed to look like him.
Thanks Bethany, the quick and easy answer
It’s true, it’s damn true…Seriously, i could be in the most horrendously, violently homicidal of moods, but hand me a kitten and i go as melty as a jar of warm Nutella – which used to be a hilariously absurd sight back in the days when i used to take bodyguard/bouncer jobs, since back then i was built like a freaking gorilla and had the temper to match
It’d be better if the cat had a dueling scar, too….
The cat has a face that’s all “I wuv you.”
ITSATRAPP!!!
He does look like fr evil with mr.bigglesworth
