Not true. At least Dan already does other stuff (movies and theater) to prove he can do more than he has shown in HP. I guess he will have a career, though I don’t know how big it will be.

Yep. He did a great job in it. Was also supposedly very good in Equus.
I think that Dan has a career ahead of him. As for the others, I don’t know — but I hoped they’ve managed their earnings from the eight (eventually) movies well enough not to worry about it.

Rupert Grint. I saw a commercial on TV and hardly recognized him.
I liked him in Driving Lessons. I think all 3 of the main stars will have careers after HP, Emma has shown interest in modeling and the fashion world and Daniel has proven himself pretty versatile. What it up with this site slamming legitimate stars lately?!
He keeps dropping trou on stage, it’ll be plenty big! Time will tell for ol’ Rupert: he’s got to live down “Thunderrpants” after all.
I think if any of them have a successfull career after HP, it will be Rupert Grint. He has a real talent for comedy that just can’t be taught. Emma Watson apparently decided she wanted a “normal life” and stopped acting to turn to modeling (how that is even remotely “normal” is beyond me) and I predict that no matter how many times he does other things, Daniel Radcliffe will have a real hard time getting rid of the HP label, simply because he is the protagonist… Besides, compared to Rupert his acting talent is moderate at best.
She didn’t “turn to modeling”. She was asked to be the face for a clothing line or something. Her “normal life” involves going to university in America.
i agree, when you’ve done one movie franchise from young adolescence to adulthood you are sadly branded for that role…but hey, they’ve got a nice cushy bed of money to lay in for the rest of their lives…
Emma Watson is going to Brown University, not modeling. And Daniel Radcliffe has already shown himself to be a successful stage actor, so I just don’t think the facts bear out anything in your statement…except that Grint certainly is talented, which I will not argue.

My thoughts exactly- I think Rupert has a GREAT chance of going on to have his own very successful career.
Mhmm. I love Emma and Dan, but Rupert is just amazing. Tom Felton is, in my opinion, one of the best actors in the movies, though.
I agree. I don’t see him becoming a huge superstar, who earns 50 Millions per movie, but I’m sure he will make a career as “scene stealing supporting actor”, in the tradition of actors like Steve Buscemi, William H. Macy, Bill Nighy or Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

I think Rupert Grint will carry on acting. I have a feeling Daniel Radcliff is going to end up very weird.
I think Daniel will turn out just fine, he’s got a good family and circle of friends that keep him grounded. And I expect all of them to do whatever it is that will make them happy — none HAS to ever work again, so they will have the luxury of picking and choosing, which most actors don’t have.
And it WASN’T my imagination, then — that was Emma’s face on the billboard behind Dumbledore and Harry in “Half Blood Prince”!

Ummmm…Rupert Grint was the first one of the young Harry Potter actors to do a movie, he did two before Dan and Emma even thought of doing something else. Rupert has since filmed two more movies to be released this fall: Cherrybomb, which is an independant Irish film, and Wild Target..and action comedy with Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt.
His career is just getting started and whoever posted this is an arse.
Not true… Tom Felton has been acting since well before the first Harry Potter movie. He was in The Borrowers and Anna & the King and a couple of TV movies before Sorcerer’s Stone.
Felton is pretty talented. What’s more, he seems to have his head together. He’ll go far.

Disagree, they both are pretty talented, and both have been in other films wich were pretty good. I’m not even a fan and I know that. Sure the harry potter role will be best known, But they won’t have trouble getting other roles at. They really need to work on the captions they feature.
Agreed Radcliffe’s acting isn’t anything special in the HP films, but I saw him years before he was in HP as the young David in a BBC production of David Copperfield and he was just incredible in it. What talent for one so young. Also one of my friends went to see his performance in London (in Equus) and remarked on his many talents o.O

Yeah, They both have established acting careers outside Harry Potter and I believe they will continue to flourish in those careers for years to come. They’re both very, very talented.

If any of the HP kids are unable to break out of that shell and pursue a serious career, they can always do the convention circuit for the rest of their lives and do cheesy ad campaigns like Shatner.
Why doesn’t anyone ever seem to realize that Shatner has had a long second career just doing Shatner and that he LOVES it. No one laughs harder at Shatner than Shatner!

but daniel already has like 3 scripts and directors waiting for him to finish harry potter and while he works on harry potter he was working on like 2 other movies
