Well, I could name a few ‘newer’ movies that give me nightmares too.
‘Crossroads’, anyone? ‘Confessions of a Teenage Dramaqueen’? Those gave me nightmares, although perhaps not exactly for the reasons meant here.
Nightmares? Fail.
*Yawn*
haha.. don’t you like it? seems that too bored for you.
Yeah, or anything with Paris Hilton in it. UGH!!!
House of wax?
the only good aspect of that movie was Paris dying in it.
The evening news gives me nightmares
Stanley Kubrick is a hack, his movies were never even remotely suspenseful, much less scary
Obvious troll is obvious.
watching celeb Big Brother on channel 4, The new nightmare!!!
whats the movie anyone?
The Shining.
you’re kidding, right??
Not everyone who surfs the ‘tubez is older than 18.
I’d use The Exorcist instead. That one still scares me.
Agreed.
These days the horror movie industry has turned into “How much gore can we throw at you”…
The Exorcist always had the “Based on a true story” thing to boot.
Heh. Based on the rumor of a true story overheard in a bus stop then scribbled on a napkin in a diner at 3 a.m., stuffed in a coat pocket, dry cleaned, salvaged as lint, reassembled hastily then used as Kleenex, discarded and then we just made some crap up.
If any movie gives you nightmares you have serious issues..
Or you’re just a robot.
Ahhh, memories of “back when,” as in “back when most of us weren’t born yet.”
must suck being brought up in a generation full of reality television and crappy horror movies and their remakes.
This movie was frightfully.. Boring.
A shame this is the only character Jack ever plays, in any movie….
I remember an Pic from Edge in a Pose liek that
And I got nightmares
The only vaguely suspenseful thing Kubrick ever did was some parts of 2001. Other parts were dull and still others were dumb. No other movie Kubrick had a hand in was worth crap.
I have to disagree. Full Metal Jacket and Clockwork Orange were brilliant movies. Not scary nor suspenseful, but still brilliant.
Indeed!
